H. Foxman
Dave
Foxman was born in Anchorage, Alaska and raised in the Daytona Beach
area. He is a graduate of Florida State University and the
University of Florida College of Law.
After law school, Mr. Foxman returned
to Daytona Beach, where he practiced appellate law as an Assistant
Attorney General from 1996 to 2002 and trial law as an Assistant
State Attorney from 2002 to 2003. He joined the firm in January,
2003, and now focuses on appeals, motion practice, and
postconviction matters.
Mr. Foxman is board certified in
criminal appellate law by the Florida Bar. He is a member of the
Florida Bar, and the bars of the United States Supreme Court, the
U.S. Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court
of Appeals. He has authored over 500 appellate briefs and is the
named counsel in over 165 published appellate opinions. He has
handled appeals in the Florida Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit
Court of Appeals, and the First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth District
Courts of Appeal.
Mr. Foxman is AV rated by
Martindale-Hubbell. This is the highest rating an attorney can
achieve, signifying "very high to preeminent" legal ability and
"very high" ethical standards. In 2006, Mr. Foxman was named to the
inaugural list of Florida Super Lawyers, which is intended to
recognize the top 5% of Florida lawyers. Mr. Foxman has served as a
volunteer judge for Volusia County Teen Court since its inception
and in 2001 was awarded the Judge Joseph P. Will Teen Court Founders
Award for Dedicated Service. He currently sits on the Board of
Directors of the Volusia County Bar Association.
